Acceptable use policy

This Acceptable Use Policy sets the rules for using Maivas. It is part of our Terms of Service. Maivas is operated by Move Me Media Pty Ltd (ACN 699 626 385). We keep these rules to protect you, your members, the platforms we connect to, and the Service.

If you break these rules we may pause or remove access, and a connected platform may require us to.


1. Market lawfully and honestly

  • Follow the law that applies to your marketing, including the Australian Consumer Law (no misleading or deceptive conduct, no false or unsubstantiated claims) and any rules specific to your industry.
  • If you are an allied health or clinical business, follow the advertising rules that apply to you, including any restrictions on testimonials and on claims about treatments or outcomes. Do not ask Maivas to produce marketing that breaches those rules.
  • Make only claims you can back up. Do not misrepresent results, offers, prices or scarcity.

2. Respect the messaging rules

  • Only send marketing messages (email, SMS) to people who have consented to receive them, as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
  • Every marketing message must identify you as the sender and include a working unsubscribe option.
  • Do not upload lists you do not have permission to contact, and do not use Maivas to send spam.

3. Respect the connected platforms

  • Follow the advertising and platform policies of every account you connect, including Meta's and Google's advertising policies and their platform and developer terms.
  • Only connect accounts you own or are authorised to manage. Do not use Maivas to access an account without permission.
  • Do not use the Service in a way that could get an ad account suspended, such as running prohibited content or evading a platform's review.
  • For fitness and health marketing on Meta, follow Meta's rules: no before-and-after body imagery, and no copy that implies or asks about personal attributes such as a person's health condition, weight or body type.
  • Maivas may decline or remove content that we reasonably believe breaches a connected platform's policies or the law.

4. Protect people's data

  • Only put personal information into Maivas that you are allowed to use for marketing, and only what is needed for the work.
  • Do not paste sensitive personal information into chat unless it is necessary.
  • Honour the privacy rights of your members and leads, and route any request from them about their data to yourself as the controller.

5. Prohibited content and industries

Do not use Maivas to market or promote:

  • anything illegal, or that facilitates illegal activity;
  • hate, harassment, violence, or discrimination;
  • adult content, gambling, weapons, illicit drugs, or other content prohibited by the platforms you connect;
  • scams, deceptive schemes, or misleading health, financial or income claims; or
  • content that infringes someone else's intellectual property.

6. Do not misuse the Service

  • Do not attempt to breach the Service's security, access another customer's data, or probe, scan or test the system except through our Responsible Disclosure process.
  • Do not reverse engineer, resell or provide the Service to third parties as your own, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Do not overload or disrupt the Service, or use it to send malware.
  • Do not use the Service to generate content that impersonates a real person without authorisation.

7. Consequences

If you break this policy, we may remove offending content, pause features, suspend or close your account, and, where required, report to a platform or authority. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you first.
